Apetit is Finland’s leading brand in frozen vegetables and frozen ready meals. Their offering consists of frozen vegetables, vegan and vegetarian burgers, and pizzas. Apetit has extended their brand by entering Sweden to increase their sales. Although sales have been growing quickly in Sweden they needed a partner to help them manage their paid media strategy on social media.
In the FMCG industry competition is very high and consumers are generally loyal to set brands for vegetables and other goods. Apetit was quickly introducing new products into stores but they needed help getting consumers to find out about their products at scale and their quality.
Apart from getting their products known, the brand’s products were not equally distributed across stores in the country. They needed a national advertising strategy with a combination of local/store based advertising campaigns.
Apetit’s products are mostly customer by people that have an interest in healthy eating. With that in mind we did a lot of audience research on Facebook to understand the specific targetings we needed to use to reach their target audience. Once our analysis was complete we got an understanding of their audience size and what type of campaigns to run to reach them as effectively as possible.
We didn’t get much advertising material to work with at first, except product pictures. Our team put together short videos based on the provided images and short selling points. We then launched their ads within two weeks to see some first results. The ads were generating good results from the beginning and we could see that people were engaging in the comments asking questions about the product. This was a good indicator for us that people were getting to know Apetit more and also going to shop their products the next time they visited their local grocery store.
We continuously manage their monthly budget and create new ad creatives for Apetit. They have been a happy client for years now.
In their latest campaign they decreased their CPM by 22% from an already low number, The average view time on their ad increased by 350% and the engagement rate increased by 233%.
